ABOUT THE INSTALLATION
RxART is collaborating with artist Jadé Fadojutimi to transform the scanner and scanner room at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in Wesley Chapel, Florida. Fadojutimi is known for large-scale paintings in which layers of color, line, and movement form complex environments that explore emotion, identity, and beauty. A leading pediatric health system and regional referral center for Florida’s west coast, the hospital provides specialized care for infants, children, and teens, including intensive care and complex surgical services.
ABOUT THE HOSPITAL
Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital is a premiere clinical and academic health system, providing expert pediatric care for infants, children and teens with some of the most challenging medical problems.
Johns Hopkins is ranked the #1 children’s hospital in Florida by U.S. News & World Report, and it is expanding with the new Wesley Chapel Campus, set to open in Fall of 2027. Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital has 259 beds in its teaching hospital, with more than half devoted to intensive care level services, and it is the regional pediatric referral center for Florida's west coast.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jadé Fadojutimi (b. 1993, London, United Kingdom) orchestrates color, space, line, and movement in her paintings in the service of fluid emotion and the quest for self-knowledge. She interprets everyday experience in ways that reflect a drive to understand more completely the perpetually intertwined ideas of identity and beauty.
Fadojutimi graduated with a BA from the Slade School of Art, London, in 2015, and an MA from the Royal College of Art, London, in 2017 (also receiving that year’s Hine Painting Prize). Her solo exhibition The Numbing Vibrancy of Characters in Play opened at Peer, London, in 2019, and Yet, Another Pathetic Fallacy at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami, in 2021.
